What you need:
1) Strong-smelling treats that your cat(s) will love. Buy them here. (An alternative that doesn't work as well is just scratching their ears/head)
2) A teaser-toy (such as feathers on a string connected to a stick) Buy them here.
3) A non-distracting room (No TV, iPod, or anything else that makes noise or moves)
4) PATIENCE!!!!!!
Steps: (Sit!)
1) Tell your cat "[Cat's name] Sit!" As you put your hand out flat right above their head. They shouldn't do it, so you have to push her butt until she sits. When she sits, hand her a treat.
2) Walk a little further away and repeat step one.
3) Keep doing step two until she sits on her own. When she does it on her own, give her a treat.
4) Let her do it on her own and give her treats a few more times and then on the 3rd or 4th time, do not give her a treat, just scratch her.
5) The next times she does it, don't reward her with a treat, just with your scratching. But remember to give her a treat every once and a while so she doesn't stop doing it because there's not a really good reward.
